Selection of Magnolia acuminata with bluish flower buds that open into buttery-yellow flowers with greenish outer tepals. Very hardy, blooms even when young. 

Botanical name: Magnolia acuminata "Blue Opal".

Habit: upright tree.
Height: 4-6m.
