Magnolia "Rose Marie"


One of the best pink-flowered varieties for colder climates. Tall narrow tree producing large flowers with nine broad tepals, vivid rosy pink exterior, and medium pink interior (a shade darker than "Daybreak"). The tree blooms at a young age, is very floriferous, and blooms late in the season for up to six weeks.
Selected by well known American breeder Dennis Ledvina (Green Bay, Wisconsin).

Parentage: M."Pink Surprise" x M."Daybreak".
Habit: uprigt tree (quite narrow).
Height: 6-8m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 5a.
Flowering time: April - May.
