A beauty from Brooklyn Botanic Garden (New York, USA) breeding programs. Middle-sized tree producing intense lemon-yellow fragrant cup-shaped flowers that do not fade with age. Flowers are not big but very well formed.
Hardy, very floriferous, flowering over 4-5 weeks late in the season.

Botanical name: Magnolia x "Lois".
Other names: "BBG 11/60".
Parentage: M.acuminata x (M.acuminata x M.denudata).
Habit: globular to slightly conical tree.
Height: 6-8m.
