Magnolia "Silk Road"


It is a summer-blooming magnolia that produces an abundance of white flowers, has a great fragrance, a nice columnar shape, and is very fertile. Flowers have slightly narrower tepals than some of the other summer-blooming hybrids.

Botanical name: Magnolia x "Silk Road".
Parentage: M. tripetala x (M. tripetala x M.obovata).
Habit: columnar tree.
Height: 4-5m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 4a.
Flowering time: May - June.
