Magnolia "Jane"


Reliable old classics, suitable for small gardens. Upright red-purple buds open to pinkish-purple flowers with 8-10 tepals, up to 10cm across, white inside. 
Fragrant.

Botanical name: Magnolia x "Jane".
Parentage: M.stellata "Waterlily" x M.liliiflora "Reflorescens".
Habit: large shrub.
Height: 3-4m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 5a.
Flowering time: April - May, plus some sporadic blooms in July.
