Magnolia "Daybreak"



Being one of the best varieties for colder climates, "Daybreak" produces rose-pink flowers without purple tones (quite rare color for magnolias). Blooms late in season due to high percentage of M.acuminata genes. Narrow tree, perfectly suited for small gardens. Selected by August Kehr (USA).

Parentage: (Magnolia x brooklynensis "Woodsman") x Magnolia "Tina Durio".
Habit: broad columnar tree.
Height: 6-8m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 5a.
Flowering time: April - May.
