Magnolia "Crescendo"


Hardy large-flowered hybrid from Dennis Ledvina (Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA). Huge deep pink flowers emerge from tiny flower buds to create a “crescendo” effect. 

Botanical name: Magnolia x "Crescendo".
Parentage: open-pollinated seedling of "Yellow Lantern"; most probably  "Yellow Lantern" x "Big Dude".
Habit: upright tree.
Height: 5-7m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 5b.
Flowering time: April - May.
