Magnolia "Edith Bogue"



Relatively hardy cultivar able to withstand winter temperatures down to -25°C in Europe and down to almost -30°C in North America. Named after a garden owner from New Jersey, USA. Mother tree of this cultivar was the only Southern magnolia in the garden that survived extremely severe winter. It has large leathery leaves and big, white, fragrant flowers. The branches are able to withstand snow weight during snowy winter.

Habit: pyramidal tree (upright while young).
Height: 5-7m.
