Magnolia "Royal Star"


More robust variety of Magnolia stellata. Produces large white fragrant flowers 10-15cm diameter, 25-30 tepals. Flowers a week later than most of stellata cultivars, and for a longer period.

Botanical name: Magnolia stellata "Royal Star".
Parentage: open-pollinated seedling of Magnolia stellata "Waterlily".
Habit: globular bush.
Height: 3-4m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 4a.
Flowering time: March - April.
