Magnolia sprengeri var.diva

Deep-pink-flowered variety of Sprenger's magnolia, discovered by Ernest Wilson in China around 1910. Mid-sized tree producing large (to 21 cm diameter), nodding, pink flowers with 12-14 wide tepals.
First flowered at Caerhays (United Kingdom) after 19 years in about 1925.
Fragrant. Flowers early, in great profusion after some years. 
Fertile. Seedlings should flower at a height of 2m.

Other names: Magnolia "Diva", Magnolia sprengeri "Diva".
Habit: globular tree.
Height: 5-7m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 6a.
Flowering time: March - April.
