Magnolia "Burncoose Purple"

One of the best selections of Magnolia sprengeri var. diva, producing bright reddish-purple flowers with twelve tepals. Blooms early in the season. Very fragrant, very floriferous after some years. Perfect choice for a small garden.

Botanical name: Magnolia sprengeri var. diva "Burncoose Purple".
Parentage: raised from a chance seedling at the Burncoose Nursery (Cornwall, United Kingdom).
Habit: erect narrow tree.
Height: 5-7m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 6a.
Flowering time: March - April.
