Magnolia "Velvet and Cream"

A cultivar of evergreen Magnolia laevifolia, selected for its smaller leaves and relatively large (for the species), fragrant white flowers produced in abundance in early spring and often again in autumn. Flower buds are covered in coppery indumentum.

Frost hardy to about -10°C, suitable for subtropical climates..
Selected in New Zealand

Other names: Magnolia dianica "Velvet and Cream", Michelia yunnanensis "Velvet and Cream"
Habit: evergreen shrub.
Height: 2-3m.
