Magnolia "Kay Parris"



One of the best cultivars of Southern magnolia. Selected by Kevin Parris and named after his mother. Glossy leaves are medium green with wavy leaf margins and a deep orange-brown indumentum. Fragrant white flowers are a bit smaller than the species.

Botanical name: Magnolia grandiflora "Kay Parris".
Parentage: Magnolia grandiflora "Bracken's Brown Beauty" x Magnolia grandiflora "Little Gem".
Habit: upright tree.
Height: 3-5m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 6b in Europe, 5b in North America.
Flowering time: June.- August (late May - September in warmer climates).
