Magnolia "Northern Belle"



One of the hardiest cultivars of Magnolia virginiana, able to withstand winter temperatures down to -35°C under certain conditions. Fragrant white flowers. 
Selected by Ned Rader (Ohio, USA). Mother tree grows in Ohio.and is about 10 meters high.

Botanical name: Magnolia virginiana "Northern Belle".
Other names: M.virginiana "Ned's Northern Belle".
Habit: small or middle-sized tree.
Height: 5-7m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 5a (6a in maritime climates such as Northern and Eastern Europe).
Flowering time: June - July.
