Magnolia "Donna"


A beautiful pure white loebneri clone with big (15-20cm) flat fragrant flowers which open flatter than most loebneri cultivars. "Donna" may have the largest flowers of any Magnolia of loebneri group.
Selected and registered by Harry Heineman (Scituate, Massachusetts, USA), named after his wife. 

Botanical name: Magnolia x loebneri "Donna".
Parentage: An open-pollinated seedling of M. kobus var. stellata.
Habit: globular bush or small tree.
Height: 3-4m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 4b.
Flowering time: March - April.
