Magnolia "Roseanne"


An exceptionally hardy hybrid by famous American hybridizer Dennis Ledvina (Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA). Flowers have six or seven broad tepals which are rich lavender pink on the outside and a soft pink on the inside. The tepals retain upright form. 
A fertile magnolia that is producing some excellent F2 seedlings.. The foliage is semi-glossy with a rugose texture.

Botanical name: Magnolia x "Roseanne".
Other names: "Rose Ann".
Parentage: M.liliiflora "O’Neill" x M.kobus "Norman Gould".
Habit: upright tree.
Height: 5-7m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 4a in North America, USDA zone 4b in Europe.
Flowering time: April - May.
