Magnolia "Sweet Valentine"

Compact, almost dwarf, deciduous tree producing purplish pink flowers that are lighter than "Black Tulip". 
Bred and selected by Vance Hooper (Taranaki, New Zealand).

Botanical name: Magnolia x "Sweet Valentine".
Parentage: .M."Sweet Simplicity" x M."Black Tulip".
Habit: compact tree.
Height: 3-4m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 6b and warmer parts of zone 6a.
Flowering time: April - May.
