Magnolia "Golden Joy"

Being a significant improvement of the good old Magnolia brooklynensis cultivar 'Yellow Bird', 'Golden Joy' has some of the largest, deepest yellow flowers of any of the yellow-flowered magnolias. Tulip-shaped, golden-yellow flowers can be about twice as large as the mother variety. Very hardy. Bred and selected by Ian Baldick (Ramarama, Auckland region of New Zealand).

Habit: upright tree.
Height: 6-8m.
Hardiness: USDA zone 4b.
